Weeks after General Stanley McChrystal requested more troops to be able to better secure the more dangerous parts of Afghanistan against Taliban and Al Quaeda terrorists, the Bamster is more focused on raising campaign funds for his Democratic political allies and going on dates with his wife, than protecting the lives of the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines that he’s supposed to be the commander in chief of.  He has even said that it may take weeks before he fully evaluates the effect of his new strategy in Afghanistan and decides if he needs to send more troops or not, though reports indicate he’s averse to the idea. In the interim, MORE US troops will die from lack of proper support. While the left dominated mainstream media was all over President Bush for following an initial strategy that involved far too few US troops in Iraq, (a wishful thinking situation that MIGHT have worked if  the US State dept hadn’t screwed up the initial occupation government so badly.) they are mostly silent on the developments in Afghanistan.

Months ago, I wrote in this blog about how the Bamster’s new Rules of Engagement would lead to the deaths of MORE US service members. This past week an Afghan police station and a US Army outpost was attacked by hundreds of terrorists who had assembled in a village and a mosque. The Afghan police station was overrun and dozens were killed or captured, the Army outpost would’ve been overrun, were it not for US close air support.

Learning from past mistakes, US military commanders are dropping this hot potato right into the Bamster’s lap. They are not going to be used as scapegoats by the media when more troops die or Afghanistan falls back into a lawless state. They have seen how the Obama administration and the media throw people under the bus, and they aren’t looking to become speed bumps. Of course, the media is livid that the Generals released this report to the press. (I guess leaking a report that might save US lives is bad, but one that will cost US lives is good in their eyes re. wiretaps, bank transfer and other NSA programs to find terrorists.)

ADDENDUM: Apparently some liberals took offense to my relating the news that perhaps Obama should spend a little more time acting as Commander in Chief (part of his Constitutionally mandated duties) and a little less time running to Europe to promote Chicago for the Olympics (bad choice in my opinion. Many nicer cities in the US than Chicago.) going out on dates with his wife, and raising money for political supporters’ campaigns. The funny thing is, those aren’t just my opinions. Those are the opinions of the main stream media reporters that I linked to in my post.

BTW, if you want to have a PRAYER of having your comments read, let alone approved,  leave the vulgar language on Huffpo and DailyKos. I won’t tolerate it here.  I would’ve prefaced that statement with Ladies and Gentlemen, but the language used was obviously NOT that of either a lady or a gentleman.
